Wyatt Hayes was tired of having too much time on his hands.
Sure, sitting around and not having to get into his butterfly position was doing wonders for his joints and obviously meant that the team in front of him was doing well. Or maybe Montreal was just falling flat on their face. Either way, Ottawa was laying them out on the ice and it seemed incredibly embarrassing.
But he was bored.
Even with his current mindset of these early games, that being “watch the puck and hope to not get run over,” he could tell the game was getting chippy, if not downright aggressive.

Ilya Rozanov was not an emotional man.
At least, according to the media.
According to himself, he knew he had walls built around so many pieces of himself, his emotions swirling in places he hardly knew how to access anymore. He had been working on it, of course, but the media never needed to know how deeply he felt his emotions.
That day, moments after the end of practice when Ilya was checking the upcoming games was the beginning of the end of his closed off reputation with the Centaurs.
The words blazed across the Centaurs’ team calendar pulled at his heart, dread piling up behind his mental walls.

Summary
Hetch and the founder were friends, the first two in a new revolutionary media company, Showfall as they called it. Showfall began normally, hiring people to act in their silly shows, but once the founder had the idea of controlling the actors so they never had to direct them again, only write the script, program the characters, and run the show. They worked on the control tactics and as they were finishing them out they realized how much easier it would be if they just kept the same cast, even if that meant reanimating them.
