Summary
“While the laughter slowly died down, Jay’s voice from across the campfire slipped through the overlapping sounds, scratchy and low, yet cutting through the noise in a way that made Niki look up.
“Do you want me to go with you?”
The words slid out so casually that Niki almost missed them, folded neatly between the crackle of the fire and the cicadas’ fading chorus. But once they reached him, they lodged deep, impossible to ignore.
He’d been working too hard, for too long, to shake off the image of the youngest who always needed looking after. Accepting help now would feel like undoing all of that.
And yet, Jay always found a way to sneak in through the cracks, make himself at home inside Niki’s ribs as if he’d always belonged there, steady and unwavering.
And maybe he had.”
Or: post wisdom-teeth surgery jayki shenanigans.

Summary
“The pressure at the back of his neck was sharper tonight, chilling droplets of sweat cumulating on his skin faster than a windstorm. It wasn’t just a whisper of unease, but something real and tangible, something that crawled down his spine with ice-cold fingers, sinking, settling, watching.
Jay didn’t move.
Didn’t bolt upright. Didn’t throw the covers off or flick the lights on no matter how much he wished to. Instead, he just let his fingers curl into the sheets, let his lashes flutter, let his breath even out as if he was still teetering on the edge of sleep.
And then, carefully, so carefully, his gaze slid across the room.
And he saw him.
A figure at the edge of his bed.
Unnaturally still. Silent. Watching.”
Or: The hunger was eating away at Sunghoon from the inside, and all Jay wanted was to help him.

Summary
“As Jay stepped into the room, he stopped in his tracks. On the couch lay a suspicious looking lump of blankets.
He blinked blankly as the cocoon of blankets on the couch suddenly started emitting a slew of muffled whining and unintelligible grumbling, shifting restlessly.
He shuffled closer and carefully poked it.
The cocoon of blankets shifted once more to reveal Niki, his tufts of black hair sticking up messily in all directions. The blankets were wrapped so tight around him that he looked like the world’s most miserable burrito. The tip of his nose was an angry shade of red, and his skin was oddly flushed. He cracked open his eyes, blinking slowly up at Jay with glassy exhaustion. His usual cool, nonchalant demeanor had completely crumbled as he let out the neediest whine known to man.”
Or: When all the members of Enhypen—except Jay—suddenly come down with a cold, he takes on the task of caring for them. But when he inevitably falls sick himself, he’s forced to learn how to let others take care of him.

Summary
HIRAETH
(n.) a homesickness for a home to which you cannot return, a home which maybe never was; the nostalgia, the yearning, the grief for the lost places of your past.Jay had asked: "Niki-ah, why not come with me?"
Flights were grounded indefinitely, snapping the fragile thread that connected him to home. There was no return ticket to Japan, no chance to visit his family or even perform for fans in person.
Maybe that was why Niki had accepted.
It would be the first New Year's he didn't spend with his family.

Summary
“The cold air bit harshly at his cheeks, sneaking under the thin layers of his hoodie, jacket, and worn jeans.
Of course, Sunghoon thought miserably. Of course it would rain the one day he forgot an umbrella. Jay was going to kill him—he could already picture the exasperated look, the complaints about dripping water onto his floorboards and ruining them.
His footsteps echoed dully against the pavement, the rain pounding a steady rhythm, when a faint, muffled whimper cut through the storm.
He hesitated, squinting into the dim alley. At first, he saw only trash and scattered boxes. But then, huddled against a crumbling brick wall, he spotted it: a tiny, soaked black kitten, its matted fur trembling. Its wide, fearful eyes locked with his for just a moment before it let out another pitiful whimper, shrinking further into itself.“
Or: Jayhoon tackle the challenges of raising a kitten amongst new and odd, warm feelings one definitely shouldn’t have about their best friend.

Summary
Sunghoon didn’t think much of it at first when Jay started losing sleep. Jay had always been a night owl, thriving in the stillness of late hours. But soon, the exhaustion became impossible to ignore—subtle cracks in Jay’s facade that only Sunghoon seemed to notice.
He tried to help in quiet ways, making things easier where he could. But none of it touched the root of the issue, and the growing distance between them gnawed at Sunghoon.
The breaking point came one evening, when Sunghoon could no longer ignore the weight Jay carried alone.
Or: sleepless nights, quiet concern, and feelings buried beneath the past resurfacing.

Summary
“His door creaks open slowly, soft thuds of footsteps making their way to his bed. A few quiet moments pass, the bed dips slightly with the weight of someone kneeling beside him. A hand gently shakes his shoulder.
Usually, Jay would sleep through something like this, his unconscious mind effortlessly filtering out minor disturbances. However, the prolonged period of sleeplessness had taken its toll, making his rest delicate and easily interrupted. The countless nights of tossing and turning, broken by brief, unsatisfying periods of sleep, had left him in a state of heightened sensitivity.
He lets out a low, soft sound under his breath, shifting his body and fluttering his eyes open. After a few seconds, his eyes adjust to the dimness of the room, settling on the dark silhouette looming over him.
"Niki-yah, what's wrong?" He whispers, voice deep and raspy from sleep.”
Or: Jay, Niki and their soft, late nights as brothers.

Summary
“Jay had been relentlessly pushing himself beyond his limits, stubbornly refusing to take even a moment's rest despite the choreographer's repeated suggestions for a break. His knee injury, a persistent problem that had been plaguing him for years, was an open secret among the group— it never seemed to fade away.
Sunghoon had been observing from the sidelines, wrestling with his growing concern, biting back words that threatened to spill out. But when the third run-through came around, and Jay's usually perfect turn ended in a noticeable stumble, Sunghoon's restraint finally crumbled.”
Or: an argument, a nightmare, and a kiss.

Summary
“The moon shines brightly on the desolate and deserted streets, lighting up Gyuvin's path as he drags his feet.
The cold is harsh as it bites at Gyuvin's skin, his cheeks, his exposed arms, yet he barely feels it as he mindlessly wanders through the unfamiliar streets. It almost drives him crazy, how he still remembers every touch, every press of nails upon his skin, his collarbones, his cheeks. He wants it off, desperately so.
He's so out of it he doesn't even register the flash of a car's headlights as it parks next to him on the sidewalk.
"Gyuvin," Ricky says as he stops in front of him, voice hushed like always.”
