Summary
Almost three years after the death of her husband, Francesca is officially out of her mourning period and ready for the next phase of her life.
However, despite the urging of her mother, she is in no hurry to return to Mayfair. Instead, she wishes to remain in Scotland with her dear friend Michaela, the newly minted Countess of Kilmartin, and run the estate together, as John would have wished.

“I can’t stop thinking about you,” Glinda says so, so quietly. So quietly that Elphaba can barely hear the confession over the press of the rain on the roof. It’s an out, Elphaba realizes. She can pretend she never heard her admission, they can ride out the storm and then go back to being people who flirt harmlessly with each other. Glinda’s giving her the option to ignore it all.
Or she can do the messy thing, the tricky thing, and acknowledge it.
