"Of what?" Yuji lifts himself high enough to look at Megumi face-to-face.
"You know." Megumi glances down at himself and Yuji does too.
Yuji then giggles, which confuses him. "You know, I don't need to gain pleasure out of everything we do. Sometimes I like to just see you having fun." He smiles at him, then moves back down, voice lower beneath Megumi's ear. "But, I do like it. There's a part of me that really enjoys tasting you."

“Do you feel territorial? Like a wild animal?” Megumi says, and he tries to come across as playful, but the hitch in his breath betrays how he really feels about Yuji’s confession.
“Yes,” Yuji says, earnest and unwavering. “What was it that you said? Staking my claim? Yeah… That’s exactly what it is.”
Megumi awakens a feeling of possessiveness within both himself and Yuji upon recognizing the true nature of their relationship.

Summary
Alphas leave their scent on Omegas to mark them as theirs — but usually, it fades in a few days. Megumi accidentally marked Yuuji once during a fight, rubbing his scent all over him to hide him from enemies… and it never went away. Yuuji smells exactly like Megumi now: rain, earth, and him, mixed with his own citrus sweetness.
This means every other Alpha can smell immediately that Yuuji belongs to someone, and every time Megumi is near Yuuji, his body reacts violently — his heart races, his blood heats up, his instincts scream mine mine mine. Yuuji feels it too; whenever Megumi is close, his body softens, his knees get weak, and he gets desperate for more of that scent, more of him.
They try to ignore it, try to act normal… until they have to share a small hotel room on a mission. The air is thick with their mixed scents, heavy and intoxicating. Yuuji goes into a mini-heat triggered just by being so close to Megumi.
