Because men shouldn’t like men, so perhaps Cirrus is less than a man. That’s how it’s always seemed to Cirrus. To Skylar, it seems fine. To a lot of people, it seems fine. But to Cirrus, even if he likes another man, it seems strange.
So then, perhaps a man liking another man is fine, and it’s only bad when it’s Cirrus. Not because Cirrus is another man, but because he is dirty. His filth holds tighter onto everyone he touches, and Skylar is going to end up filthy, like this.

Cirrus is chasing the idea of what it means to be a normal person. He wishes he could have a normal childhood, and wishes he could be in a normal relationship. He should feel bad, like a normal person. And he should get over his past, like a normal person.
But then again, Skylar loves him regardless. Skylar’s the one that wants him here. Cirrus isn’t taking up space.Skylar says something that Cirrus isn't paying attention to, and Cirrus wonders how long he'll feel this way.
