Summary
Sanji rubbed the back of his neck, quiet for a long time before finally speaking again. “If a lady is upset with me, she can express her anger however she wishes.” And then, tacked on at the end. “...So long as she makes sure to take care of her hunger.”
She wrinkled her nose. “Hunger isn’t that hard, once you get used to it.”
“But you shouldn’t have to.”
Her eyes widened as Sanji leaned down, nudging the bowl of soup that he had brought towards the mouse—And even more to her shock, the mouse happily pranced over, nibbling at the dish with complete contentment.
“...Everyone deserves food.” Sanji stated, as his head tilted slightly—to face the mouse. “Human or otherwise.”
Or: When a nervous wreck of a child runs away from home, the world changes—And so does she.

“Gotham is filthy,” Damian says flatly, honestly. “I understand now why Mother sent me here instead of coming herself.”
Nightwing’s face is turned to the left, but the smile on his lips is audible. “It’s not all bad,” he says.
Damian thinks of Grayson, and the too-sweet donut he had given him, and the Chinese restaurant with the nice Asian lady and the park and the stray cat that had crossed through the grass in the darkness.
“No,” he admits grudgingly, “I suppose not.”
(Or, in a world where he was never sent to live with his father, Damian al Ghul is contracted to assassinate one Dick Grayson.)

Summary

He heard another cry for help. Well, he's gotten used to patrolling to numb the stinging in his chest by now. He's been doing that when he first became Robin. When his family often forgot, he's also just a child.
Stop thinking about that. It's weak.
And so he stood back up and grappled torwards the cries.

Damian gets into an argument with the family and storms off to patrol alone. Something BLASTS him with blinding light that could flash his ancestors back from the dead. He wakes back up in Gotham. Well, another gotham. But he learns that later.
Can't be that bad. Wait what do you mean he's dead here??

Damian travels to another universe where he's been killed by the Joker. That AU's batfam are coping poorly. Imagine running into your dead brother lol. Bozo.
