"Like this, like I am now," Will said, staring at his reflection. "Refined. Not… greasy and grubby. Dirty all the time from manual labor." He wrenched his gaze away and looked at Hannibal. "You've transmogrified me."
"A magical transformation," Hannibal said with a smile. "Not quite, no. Merely a change of clothes and a decent haircut, that's all."
"It feels… like more." Will shook his head. "I feel different when I'm with you. Like I'm more than what I actually am. I was doomed to be a - a diesel mechanic for the rest of my life. Probably an alcoholic like my dad. But now I feel like that life is a distant dream."

after rinde, jaskier is angry - for good reason, just give him the chance to explain everything. when he meets up with geralt the next time, he doesn't get that chance. Lan Xichen spoke his name each time as if it were a mantra or some sort of secret password, some coded message which would prevent Lan Wangji from freezing solid or melting away. He wasn’t so certain, but he allowed it. There was little he could do to stop Lan Xichen, regardless, even if he had wanted to. Yet Lan Xichen was the only person permitted to visit him, the only voice he heard, the only kindness he received. His time in Cold Pond Cave was more a punishment than a seclusion, but Uncle could call it whatever he wished.
