This author has way of describing surroundings in such a humorous way that it makes come alive. The conversations are so spot on for these characters. It's hilarious so far. Very much a recommendation!

Summary
River closed their distance again, breathing into Webb’s face. “I’m not you.”
White teeth met him. “No, but you are not that different.”
“Fuck me,” said Shirley Dander, having opened the door not a second too early. “Is this, like, an HR violation?”
“Not sure.” Louisa appeared behind her. “Who is violating what?”
“I think we are, actually,” Shirley said. “Cartwright, I need to talk you into something.”
“Right.” River, happy to leave the situation, followed her outside.
When suddenly there's a shot at redemption for Louisa Guy, she’ll begrudgingly accept, if only to distract herself from her ongoing grief. Also grieving? River Cartwright. Shaken by revelations about his family, he is approached by Second Desk with a dubious deal concerning an old “friend”. But if you ask Shirley Dander, nobody’s worse off than her, especially after the loss of her only friend. Last but not least, a newly resurrected James Webb has gained a second (or third?) lease on life leading him to cross paths with the Slow Horses in ways that might alter their lives, for better or for worse. Four people, four ways to grief, only one way the story can end.

Bookmarker's Notes
Captured me from the start and continues to do so with every update! The writing style of this work is - like everything they write - absolutely fantastic. Proves once again that dedicated fan work can not only compete easily with published work, but also deserves to be met with the same praise and recognition!

Summary
“So, one day at Slough and you’re already running errands for Lamb, there’s got to be better use of your time. I hear there’s a real lack of experimental content in the adult movie industry, maybe you could try your hand at that, River. Or both hands, whatever it takes, huh?”
“What is your fucking problem?”
“My problem,” Webb spat out, flushing, “is that you were never as good as you always thought, but it doesn’t compute with you. You’ve got the name and that’s it.”
“Oh yeah? And you’ve got a whole lot less–”
After a catastrophic blunder on the main stage of The Park, once promising actor River Cartwright needs to lay low and reassemble the remaining pieces of his career. Luckily, the small and rundown theatre by the name of Slough House offers refuge to even the worst cases in the acting game. Unfortunately for River, it doesn’t take long before his former friend, rival, and orchestrator of his downfall – James Webb – also finds himself on Jackson Lamb’s call sheet, having suffered a fall from grace himself. Forced to work on their scenes together, they rehash the past and find some new common ground. Begrudgingly at first, willingly at last.

As someone who went to drama school and worked in theatre (and loves the work of FF and JL), this crossover / AU was NEEDED. This healed something in me.

Summary
“Fuck you, I know we aren’t friends. I know that now, and I probably always knew. I mean, you never even liked me.”
“I like you, River,” he tells the other man.
“Just not enough.”
“Just not more. Not more than the chance she offered me. But that’s all down the drain now, so–” James hopes he can leave it at that, though River isn’t budging.
Part 1: He almost dies. Again. Because three time’s the charm. But one thing becomes abundantly clear– James “Spider” Webb knows something he isn’t supposed to. Normally, the prospect of someone wanting to kill Spider would have River cheering them on, but this time it’s different. The issue uncovers a conspiracy MI5 would rather sweep under the rug, because some things never change. Except when they do.
Part 2: After a tumultuous run in with life, fate, and River Cartwright, James Webb finds himself permanently stationed at Slough House. Things are going alright, until two elderly citizens turn up dead, connected by a mysterious thread. On their way to the truth, both men uncover old secrets and grievances. Not just about the dead.
