Or, Vox won the war and has everything he wants - impossible wealth, unlimited power, Alastor tied with a bow - but he is still miserable and the only recourse is to go back to his younger self and cut out this horrible, sick, obsessive rot.

When Vox makes his Deal with Alastor, he doesn't stop to negotiate the terms, doesn't draw up a physical contract that clearly outlines the terms of the agreement. No, he just seizes the hand that's offered before Alastor can pull it back.
He may come to regret that.

Summary
It is a well-known fact that Donatello has a sweet tooth.
He was often found snacking on chocolate bars or sucking on hard candies, his bedroom trashcan littered with wrappers and soda cans. Hell, the only reason he was allowed to have three cups of coffee per day instead of one is because the "coffee" was pretty much just creamer.
It's not that he didn't like other things! His favorite foods were salty and savory, sometimes even bland if he wasn't in the mood for anything else. He loved cheese pizza and pizza gyoza and... well, mostly pizza, but he loved all foods! Every bite he took felt like experiencing the dish for the first time, whether it was a small salad or a steak dinner! Honestly, as long as it wasn't worms and algae, he would probably love it.
That being said, something about sweet, sugary snacks just tickled that little part way in the back of his brain, sending tingles down his spinal column like Pop Rocks fizzling, sending serotonin flowing through his veins like honey with every bite. He'd do anything for that sugar high.

Originally, I was going to have a tiny rat fall from the sky, crashing into our four teenage protagonists, toast in their mouths as they run frantically to make it to school in time.
That was scrapped. But you get the gist! Magical boy turtles! Written like a playwright 'cause I thought it might be funnier that way.

“Maybe we should just settle this one on one—But where…? Oh, I know...! How about up there?!”
Revali pointed his wing towards the ship parading the skies. Vah Medoh gleams in the distance. He spat at him with malice.
“Oh, you must pardon me—I forgot you have no way of making it up to that Divine Beast on your own!”
Whatever Revali said after fell onto deaf ears. That Pompous Rito needed to learn what flightless really meant, if he truly wanted a battle in the skies, Link would give him just that. There was a reason he was considered Hylia's chosen.
It was not his merit within combat that gifted him the title of hero but his fearless, albeit reckless, courage, and unfortunately, Link did not understand what limits were. His courageous spirit that possessed him had travelled through time, traversed the dark dimensions between, and defeated the demon known to all as Ganon however many times as needed.
How bad could a little flight up an oversized mechanical Cucco be?

Summary
Alastor knew he'd be going to Hell, and was doing everything he could to summon a powerful demon to secure himself amongst the highest in their ranks. Except he accidentally summoned a cat instead. A cat who decided to grant his wish, not that he knew it at the time.
It isn't until he wakes up in Hell as a cat that he realized what was done to him. While he may be stuck as a cat for the rest of eternity, he has been granted the rank of Guardian of the Afterlife, and was bestowed all the power that comes with it. Turns out that power placed him above even the Sins in terms of power, and was granted the ability to freely roam between Heaven, Hell, and even Earth.
His afterlife is shaping up to be far more interesting than he ever expected.
