Summary
Fresh off a nearly career-ending injury, Yoongi fears his days of competitive skating are over. Only with the help of his best friend, Jimin, Jimin's boyfriend Jeongguk, and Jeongguk's fellow hockey teammate Taehyung can he even be convinced to try. He does so on the condition that he has to be nationals-ready by competition season, but the goal is easier said than done, and Yoongi will have to overcome more than just his injury to make it.

When it first happened, he thought largely about the aftermath. Lying on the ice while four different people yelled for him to not move as if he had that option, waiting to be carried out, the painful recovery…
Now he’s thinking about everything that led up to it. The week before, the day of, the practice session itself. Everything he did. Then he walks through that one fatal jump over, and over, and over. Tries to pinpoint when, exactly, he realized how fucked he was.
And then he wonders whether he’s okay with accepting the risk of it happening all over again. -

“I am your employer. I am your boss. It’s not the other way round,” Yoongi emphasizes, incredulous, as if he couldn’t believe what Taehyung had just done.
Taehyung snorts. “Sure you are.”
“I am your boss,” Yoongi growls.
“You are my boss, but you’ll be doing what I asked you to do,” Taehyung adds, smiling cheerfully. He picks his cup of tea & takes a sip, ignoring Yoongi’s death glare in his direction.
“You’re fired.”

Min Yoongi: Record Producer at a leading music entertainment company, a workaholic, closeted softie underneath his tsundere veneer and seemingly in love with his best friend.
A chance makes them meet as Taehyung takes up a job as Yoongi’s personal assistant in the hopes of getting his boss together with his best friend and do his actual job, you know, of acting as a cupid.
Was it really a coincidence? Or was it fate?

Those words, spoken in a bored, weary rasp startle Jihoon so utterly he fumbles for the first time in his life, losing his grip on the dagger. It bounces off the bed and right into General Choi's hand, who gives it a cursory inspection before tossing it off to the side.
“Well, this is a first. I sincerely hope you have a backup plan.”
