Summary
War has been raging for nearly three years now. A war that Johanna Tyber had predicted years ago as she watched the aftermath of the Great War ravage the country she had once called home. Seeing what had risen from the ashes of her peoples’ despair made her grateful for her mother’s foresight to escape to the safety of England while they could. But, as she watched the fist of the Nazi war machine closing around Europe, getting closer and closer to the island she had called home for most of her life, she could no longer sit idly by.
With the help of and old friend and a ragtag group of new ones, she fully intended to do something about it. After all, how hard could it be to infiltrate enemy occupied territory and raise a little hell?
But this task becomes nearly impossible when a certain beastly Gestapo Major is sent direct from Berlin with the express purpose of raising a little hell of his own. -

I do not own theses characters except for Elia the Healer. She is my own
Nor do I claim to be a Tolkien expert only a Middle Earth Lover. This is my own story creation set for the time period after Smaug the Terrible attacks Erebor and the dwarves are homeless for many years wandering the world and mountains. Who is to say what happened during those years. This is merely one possible story. Thorin always intrigued me as a character of immense irritably but also fairness and honor.
The idea of a Courtship Bond in Dwarves Culture is of my own making
Summary -
Thorin and company are on the run from being outed from their home of Erebor. After an orc attack they are tended to by a local healer named Elia (pronounced: Ell EE AA) Thorin resents needing her help along with the fact that his own injury does not heal as quickly as he wishes leaving him dependent on her care.
Elia in turn finds no pleasure in Thorin's temper and constant criticisms of her care. Even more she wishes no dealings with him simply because he is a male of any species.
As the Dwarves settle into Elia's valley an uneasy truce is struck between them and something more grows that neither of them expected.Bookmarked by reindeergames19
