Summary
Scar and Grian haven't spoken since their relationship ended in a misunderstanding neither of them ever bothered to fix. Grian threw himself into work at the hospital, while Scar kept risking his life as a police officer.
When fate keeps throwing an injured Scar onto Grian's operating table, old feelings prove much harder to ignore than either of them expected. But after it turns into something far more serious, they're forced to confront the words left unsaid, the fears they never shared, and whether love is worth a second chance.
Sometimes it takes the fear of almost losing someone to realize you never really let them go.

Slowly, she began to paint herself wearing a dress. Zam wasn't sure how well she would look in a dress, but the concept of it made her curious to try.
However, she had to pause as she realized she had just been sketching out Graecie's dress. That couldn't be right, either. Graecie was Graecie. Zam was…Zam. Two colors that couldn't mix together.

A glint of gold caught his eye as he walked to the exit, and Grian paused at seeing an old book. He stopped walking and took a step closer, looking at it curiously. The old, worn, faded book contrasted to the clean, modern feel of the library.
Grian took a step closer, not really sure why it’d caught his eye, and it took a minute to read the title in faded gold lettering. The Truth Of Fae, Elves, and Other Fairies.

He wasn’t sure why he even bothered to come…much less why he was here before 7 AM. But it wasn’t like he’d done much sleeping in the past three months, anyway. He’d gotten an email that the performing arts department was reopening it’s doors to faculty who were still in the city, those who wanted to root through their offices or even just try to get back to routine.
Routine...? Come in, check the broken stage lights…fix up things upon these very same boards where he’d sat for long hours surrounded by grading papers and an extremely uncooperative tablet.
How strange, to ask that of him. To ask him to just settle back in as if he were full again when he was bled so dry by the past three months he only could think of one thing that might refill him. Here he was, center stage...and this really was something out of a playbook.
