Eddie rolls his eyes, “don’t call it that.”
“And no, you aren’t boring me. You’ve just tired me out. I’m a man of many words, but all I can say right now is just. Yowza.”
“Oh my god, go to bed.” Eddie goes to cover his face but not before Richie can pull his hands away, kissing his cheek. -

Richie jumps forward, the motion making Eddie drop the gun. He kicks it aside and grabs Eddie’s arm, twisting it and pulling him into his chest. His breath is hot on his ear,“Ever think you’d be in this position?”
“I don’t know,” Eddie confesses. “Have you?” And promptly leans his head back to lift up and graze his own, human teeth, against Richie’s neck. Richie releases his hold on him. -

Chris had been seeing Dr. Azeez for a few years now. The man was used to Chris coming in, dropping some awful lore on him, and dipping. Chris liked to think it made their relationship stronger.

He had been flustered by the appearance of four of his closest friends where he thought he was only getting one, maybe two, had he known Mike would be there? Or Ben (Eddie, you already sent me a Strava invite for tomorrow morning, what are you - ) or, yes, possibly, had he in fact not known Richie was coming, and been flustered by this, specifically. If he had, he thought it was contained, subsumed in the greater chaos of the greetings. He had been normal about it.
“Oh, the look you were giving Richie all night?” Ben asked, rummaging around in his running bag. He paused. “No, I don’t think anyone noticed, why?”

One far too public coming out. One entire re-branding of his career. Four seasons. Hundreds of positive reviews. Three nominations.
One win would have been nice.
Richie didn't put all that much stock in all these fancy award shows, but just saying. One win would have been nice. Mostly because he had been planning to put it next to his Razzie on the mantelpiece.
(Yes, his Razzie was still proudly displayed on the mantelpiece despite all of Eddie's attempts to get rid of it. It kept finding its way back there.)

Thinking back Eddie should have known something like this could happen. He could try to convince himself it seemed like a good idea at first, but the truth is he didn’t even think about it at all. He was just pissed. And he had the right to be pissed too, thank you very much. It was just… he hated going back home for Christmas.
