Jinx blinked, momentarily thrown off. "Yeah… uh, sorry about that whole faking my death thing. Spur of the moment."
Vi huffed, eyes flicking to Jinx’s restraints before stepping closer. Her fingers brushed against the metal cuffs, then trailed to the side of Jinx’s head, ghosting over the cold plating of her cybernetic implant. "Yeah, I can see that. How the hell did you even survive?"
Jinx shrugged, raising her cuffed hands as best as she could. "Had a guardian angel looking out for me."
Vi gave a small, reluctant smile. "Well… glad someone was."

Summary
When an attempt to test the newly obtained Hexgem gains an unexpected outcome due to accidentally drawing the wrong rune, Jinx is left to deal with a Cosmic level threat that just won't leave her alone for some reason.
For Lux, it's her chance to finally break out of the dull prison she'd been trapped in for multiple millennia and maybe even get back to her much beloved destruction, but first something has to be done about the miserable little mortal who set her free. After all, such favors needed to be repaided and Lux of course knew the best means of accomplishing just that.
