“You want it?” Ponyboy asked him, gently handing Johnny the glass. Johnny shook his head no, still rattled up by his thoughts.
“No… I… I got work in the morning.” That wasn’t a lie, it just… wasn’t all of the truth. Yeah.
“Well then, the more the merrier!” Ponyboy said stupidly, feigning a large smile. Johnny could see the tiredness in his eyes. He then slammed the shots, one after the other, without even swapping hands. Johnny just watched. His own hand began to shake. What if his conscious was right? His lizard brain quickly took over, heart suddenly pounding.

Ponyboy has had a rough day at work, at has brought a bottom of whiskey home along with his feelings. The only thing is, Johnny can't stand alcohol. He's petrified of it, but more so, petrified that Ponyboy will act like his old man when he does crack open the bottle.

“We aren’t killing him,” Zelda asserted again. This time, she lifted her eyes. Her voice held a note of cautiousness, but it was still unshakeable.
“If we’re to even hope to defeat the Demon King, we need the hero on our side. We have to take him with us.”

Phoenix was unable to stay conscious, he would open his eyes, a different time would show through the window, and as soon as he woke, his head would fall back and he would be gone for another..few minutes? Hours? Days? He wasn't sure.
However, this time, he felt a soft gentle poke of his forehead.
He wasn't sure what it was, but he didn't have the strength to swat at it. He groaned, the best he could do to ask the offending pressure to leave.
And then again, and again, and-
“What?” He groaned out, and finally, he opened his eyes and-
“H-holy sh-” his eyes widened, and he tried to move back, but the movement caused a cry to come out as he held onto the wound.
It was…a teenager? He wasn't sure, he wasn't a young kid, but definitely no older than 17. He had two weird hair strands sticking out of his hair.
(Zombie apocalypse au that follows the siblings relationship with Phoenix as he tries his best to keep them alive and hopefully find his group at the shelter or on the way)
