He blinked, surprised. Okay…
The guy kept his distance, jerking his chin toward the exit to gesture for Satoru to go on, before slamming a bottle of sake down on the counter. Satoru shook his head, choosing to ignore the entire interaction, and hurried out into the night.
Modern AU, where everything is just fine. It's not like either of them is STRUGGLING or anything. It also really doesn't bother them anymore. Of course not.

Luffy for his part, has been content in his drunken haze. Now he shifts, sitting cross legged in Zoro’s lap and looking up at his face. His hat is sitting a bit to the side, within reach but out of danger of unruly rubber limbs. Usopp would almost find it a bit cute, the flush on his captain’s face and the adoring look in his eyes. Then Luffy opens his mouth and ruins it.
“Zoro’s pretty. I wanna bite him.”
