Summary
They make Johanna come with her, when she insists that she wants to be back in Four, even though she’s under medical supervision. They make Johanna come with her because they think she’s going to kill herself, but they don’t say it like that. Instead, someone, probably Plutarch, orders Johanna to walk into Annie’s room with a bag slung over her shoulder and make it seem like something she’s chosen to do out of the goodness of her fucking heart.
It might have had a better chance of working if it hadn’t been Johanna Mason, and if Annie and Johanna had spoken more than six clipped sentences to each other, ever.
But Johanna's got a couple of skills: namely bulldozing her way through almost anything, even Annie's denials of needing her. Somehow, Johanna manages to bulldoze her way through a friendship with Annie, renovating a house, Finnick coming back to life and being called Aunt Jo. Annie tries to follow, tries to embody that strength for when Johanna leaves.
