Summary
“It’s true, Dana,” Mrs Mulder said, finally, when Dana remained silent. “You’re coming to live with us for a while. This way, your mother can focus on helping your little brother. And your father can beaver away at his work on the new base. It will be no trouble at all to us. We have plenty of space. You will have your own room, very private, with a lock on the door and everything. It’ll be safer for you. And good for Fox. He needs to be challenged.”
Dana had no disagreements with Mrs Mulder on that score, but she rather doubted the long-term effectiveness of the strategy being proposed. Again, she glanced around the room. “But, Mrs Mulder, your son hates me.”

Summary
Princess Pamela of Hesse and by Rhine is the maternal granddaughter of the Queen of England. Her mother died when she was quite young leaving her father, and two brothers, as well as herself without a woman of the house. They were therefore raised primarily by their grandmother, Queen Victoria, and spend most of their time in England rather than the German Duchy of which they are Princes and a Princess of the royal blood.
There's a mysterious man, a Polish prince, who catches not only the princess's eye, but also her imagination and thoughts, as London is suddenly thrust into the panic of a madman loose on the streets intent on butchering women.
In an age, and of an age, where young women such as herself are the hapless victims of foreign policy and alliances, thrust away into marriages and intrigue, she must try and find herself in the midst of a court full of sinister characters. All the while the aforementioned Prince has more secrets than he has let on and could the unraveling of those secrets spell doom for the love that has started to blossom between them? Or will they be the saving grace?

Summary
She stared at the scalpel then back at him. Surely, he must have known what this would do to her. The reminder of their first kiss across Sneed’s inert body. The unavoidable pull between them as he offered her everything she’d ever wanted. Surgery, yes but also someone who valued her, respected her.
Damn him.
There was another inert body with them today but that didn’t stop her any more than it had the first time. She pressed forward and ended up almost in his lap.

A rewriting of season 2 with more yearning, more kissing, more communication... Just more Belle and Jack, basically. The first three chapters follow episodes 2-4, with extended interactions. From chapter 4 onwards, we veer off course and the timeline gets extended - which means more time working together in the hospital in secret, an actual sleepover in the warehouse... Belle and Jack are very much a team here, facing obstacles together, which changes quite a bit actually. I hope you enjoy this rendition of season 2, with more of what we all love.

Summary
“Jesus Christ, Matt.” Tender concern rakes over Matt’s nerves, fraying them ever so gently. Freezing anxiety swirls around his lungs as he looks up, puppy dog eyes focusing on his savior.
Serena looks like an angel, the blur of her bun in the overhead light forming a holy crown. Her face is scrunched in worry as her hands try to get ahead of the blood pouring from his face. Fumbling fingers migrate to try and help, holding the saturated gauze to his aching face. There’s a pressure between his eyebrows and down through his cheekbones. The throbbing in his head won’t go away.
