Peter Parker tends to have awful luck when it comes to just about everything. Aunt May always called it his "Parker Luck". Of course it had to affect the lives of everyone he loved.
At the start of his summer vacation before his junior year, May got into an accident, and Peter had to move in with Tony Stark
Tony does not know how to deal with a teenager. But of course, he has to take care of Peter, and at the same time try and bring the other Avengers back.

Summary
Peter Parker was just trying to have a normal evening after his patrol - as normal as they'd been after the whole world forgot his existence. Suddenly finding himself in the middle of nowhere definitely was not on his list of to-do's, especially when it turns out he's been thrown into another universe. Another universe where he's apparently dead. At least Tony Stark was alive, even if he thinks that Peter is some hallucination.

Tony nodded, “she’s okay.. she’s in the hospital though. She was in an accident Peter.”
Peter shook his head, “I- what? What kind of accident?”
Tony scratched his chin, “a car accident kiddo. She’s alright- stable at least. But she’s in a coma.”
Peter felt himself sink into the seat behind him. A coma. A car accident. Stable condition. That was all it took for his world to come crashing down. And to think he thought he was having the best day ever.
OR; Peter is having the best day ever, that is until his mentor/hero/father figure/the literal Tony Stark checks him out of school to let him know that his aunt is in a coma after facing a car accident.
Tony takes care of Peter. They learn that they really are more than just Iron man and Spider-Man. They’re basically father and son at this point.
