Shane looked around – all his teammates seemed to have grouped off, no one paying him any mind. With a building sense of unease, Shane pulled his duffel bag off the ground and onto his lap. He had one hand rummaging around the side pocket, feeling for his phone when he felt Hayden drop into the seat next to him.
“Hayden,” he said, distractedly, not even looking at him, “what’s going on?”
He had just managed to grasp his phone when Hayden clamped one hand on his elbow, stilling his arm.
“No,” said Hayden, his voice firm and quiet. “Drop your phone, Shane.”
