The kid snorts, “what, do you work in R&D at your own company?” When Tony just gives him a blank look he clears his throat, “nevermind. So if you can build a missile I bet you can figure out a way to get us out of here.”
Tony sighs, turning his face away. He’s so tired. “I can’t build them that weapon, kid.”
Now it’s the kid’s turn to look confused. “Then build something else,” he says simply.

Summary
Kane grunts as his back hits the concrete wall, pulling Kez in between his legs. He hums, lips soft, as the kiss smoulders between them like the dying embers of a wildfire.
“A sugar daddy?” Kez murmurs into the heated air between them as he shifts away to breathe. Their deep, panting breaths echo in the stairwell they’d ducked into in the aftermath of a strategy meeting. “That’s what they’ve decided on?”
Kane kisses the corner of his mouth, the divot of his chin and noses into the dimple that deepens beneath him as he sighs out a breath, Kez’s smile helpless. “Mm,” he mumbles. “Some wrinkled old bloke with too much money and obsessed with your pretty smile.”
Kez’s huffed laughter tastes like him and fading spearmint gum when Kane catches his mouth again, savouring the way fingers spasm on his neck with a hint of rounded nails and relishing the little hitched breath that sticks in Kez’s throat.
“Aren’t you?” Kez asks, voice low like dark velvet, teasing. "Obsessed with my smile?"

Alternatively, the one where Kane can't stop buying Kez things, the squad assumes Kez has a posh English sugar daddy, and Kane may just die before Kez ever agrees to date him.
