He will need to be cared for, fed and clothed for the rest of his days just as an infant would.”
After an injury leaves Aerion Targaryen far different than before and entirely reliant on his family, Maekar Targaryen does his best to take care of his son.

When Sukuna finally looks at him, Megumi can only stand there in terrified silence. Bare feet rooted to the floor and head already bent a bit lower than it had been a moment ago.
“You know,” Sukuna says almost conversationally, as if he isn’t gripping the bottle tight enough for the bone of his knuckles to show white through the skin. “I’ve always wondered who almost managed to claim you before I did.”
A chill runs through Megumi, and if not for the weight of Sukuna’s gaze pinning him there, moth to a board, he knows he’d do something stupid like raise his hand to touch the side of his neck. Press the pads of his fingers to where Toji–
He swallows instead.
“Yours is the only one that matters,” Megumi eventually says.
It’s the right response. It has to be, because it’s the only one he can ever give.
