As much as Robo-Ky loves talking about sex, he rarely has it. Not from a lack of interest on either of their parts; it's just that he lacks the parts to make it very reciprocal. He doesn't complain about fingering Venom within an inch of his life—in fact, he complains that it doesn't happen more often—it just… doesn't feel complete. Perhaps Venom is selfish in his selflessness, but he longs to see his husband come undone. To be lost in pleasure. To feel how much he loves him, tangibly, irrefutably. It is not a servile instinct. It is not.

“You’ll visit me, right?” Dizzy asks.
Testament curls over her on the forest floor, hot rain stinging their wounds. Fear rattles their skull. The bitter tar of slaughter breaches their skin—what little reaches Dizzy is blessedly diluted. She's weeping, face pressed to their chest and clutching them tight enough to wrap her wings around them. She doesn't. The black one is bent at a nauseating angle. Testament isn't crying—the Gears did something to their eyes, their tear ducts, and now all they can manage is some pathetic heaving. “They never loved you,” Testament chokes, a disgusting heap of burns and pitchfork punctures. “I love you. I love you. They will not harm you any longer.”
“Of course I will,” Testament says, more sharply than they mean.
Testament helps Dizzy move out.

Truth is, what happened at the funeral got me thinking. We are not destined for oblivion, but our days are still numbered. I wondered what will be left of us once we are not here anymore. I wonder what will be left for our friend. Statues and memories that will one day be eroded by time. Will she cry for us like she did for Himmel? I’m starting to think that would be the highest honor I could ever receive.
