So Applejack reached carefully in; one hand cupped the new girl’s cheek, guiding those teary eyes back up with all the softness she could spare. “Ah know Principal Celestia; the only time she’d ever call ya into her office is if she was worried about ya. Even after what happened at the games, she still wanted ya here, same as us; she cares far more about how yer doin’ emotionally than anythin’ academic.”

    She let out a soft laugh, trying to reassure the other girl. “If Dash makes even one ‘B’ in her A-Levels, Ah’ll be impressed, and she ain’t been kicked out yet. That ain’t how it works here, Twilight, and it ain’t how it should work anywhere.” She swallowed, knowing she was about to push a little. “Did Principal Cinch…?”

    When Twilight worries about her newfound place at Canterlot High, Applejack helps to ground her, and finds out just how awful Crystal Prep was in the bargain.
