Summary
Art watches as the empty, glass bottle, once filled with Pepsi, rattles round and round the circle. Everyone follows its path with eager eyes until it begins to slow, the translucent rim finding its victim. Art has to force himself to look away and he only drags his gaze back down when he hears that the bottle has stopped moving.
Art’s heart stops.
The bottle has chosen the person to Art’s left, none other than his best friend Patrick Zwieg.

OR Tashi is busy during Patrick’s monthly visit to Stanford, so he spends his first day with Art. A few drinks and a game of seven minutes in heaven later, the two find themselves more open with each other than they’ve ever been in the seven years they’ve known each other.
