Wright opens his mouth and closes it again. He picks a piece of lint from his thigh and hums, somewhat unimpressed as he often seems to be in Miles’s presence. “What’s the catch?”
“There is no catch. I just… fear I have been unkind to you,” Miles says. Which is not entirely true, perhaps, because as much as he has been unkind this is all Miles is letting himself have before he… goes. He can tell himself as much as he likes that it’s one last visit for Wright’s sake, but it’s inconsiderate if anything. Simply, however, if this is it then he can be a little selfish.
