Summary
Shifting her sight downward, she met the gaze of a timid boy with messy black hair and golden eyes. Just like that, things were set into motion, because this was when she met Yugi Amane. And even then, a part of her knew without knowing that this was the beginning of something.
Yes, in that moment, with him looking up at her almost in awe, dirt on his cheeks — slight blush on his face, and scratches donning the entire length of his arm, Nene felt something click into place. Like their meeting was an inevitability, predetermined by fate.

The hardest thing about sharing an apartment with Yashiro Nene isn't the fact that she screws up his Netflix recommendations by adding her garbage soap operas to his watch list without asking, or the fact her alarm is too loud every morning, as it travels through the paper-thin walls, rousing him awake from his slumber day in and day out without fail, while she often conveniently manages to sleep through it.

After all, Amane knows this all too well. He’s no stranger to looting from the battered remains of poor deceased bastards. If he clenches his fists, he can feel just the right amount of tension it takes to fracture a spine in half — and when he closes his eyes, sometimes he swears he can almost hear the agonized grunts and anguished screams from his and Tsukasa’s past victims ringing in his ears.

Amane has never been a good person, but a chance meeting with a rabbit eyed girl in a dark alley almost makes him wish that he can become one.
