"Pearl has a tradition.
It’s a little thing, something she does when falling asleep at night is particularly hard for her. That is to say, most nights, but that’s neither here nor there.
Whenever she finds herself tossing and turning in bed on a new, strange server, she goes outside, lays down, and makes up constellations in the stars. Every server’s star pattern is unique, like a fingerprint of the cosmos, in a way that invites creativity and confusion all the same. Navigating by the stars only gets you so far when you have no reference points.
Sometimes she has to work to find them, when the stars blend together in a silvery shimmer, but others, they pop out like she was always meant to find them.
This new server is no exception, despite the fact that she really should be focusing on the death game she may or may not have been forced into. She doesn’t really remember."
