Abbacchio blinks. This is the last place he had expected this conversation to go.
“You can… what?”
Abbacchio wrenches his eyes from his lap to look at Bruno, and his expression is mild. “If you’re curious, I’ll use the zipper so you can see. I told you it doesn’t hurt. I know you’ve seen it before, but it’s always when we’re fighting… I’ve seen Moody Blues plenty of times. It just seems fair. But of course, don’t feel obligated. I understand it’s a bit unusual.”

Fugo had seen Bucciarati naked before, incidentally. He had never seen Bucciarati naked, splayed open, and unzipped to pieces. The reason Fugo had lost both feeling in his face and his grip on any of the several languages he knew the moment he entered the office was because what he was looking at inside of it—well—had to be intercourse, of some kind, but a kind previously not known to humanity.

“A demonstration?” Jon asks, and the words come out very level, very careful. He’s still frozen in the same position, like he’s afraid he might spook off a bird that’s miraculously landed on him by moving.
Tim opens his mouth to reply, but only manages it on the second try.
“Yeah,” he says. “Hands on, you know. Let you get to see the thing for yourself.”
“And you would be tying up…” Jon says, trailing off into a silence that begs to be filled, answered.
“You,” Tim confirms, and he thinks he sees Jon shiver as he says it. “I couldn’t-- can’t tie myself up, after all.”
“But I can’t-- I don’t do that,” Jon says, as if remembering himself. He almost sounds disappointed. “I don’t-- I don’t enjoy sex. I’m very certain of that much, I made sure. I can’t--”
“Who said anything about sex?”
