    Summary

The first thing you should know about time loops is that they’re really fucking hard to break. The second thing is that you can never break one in such a way that it is incapable of returning.

The third thing you should know is that everyone around you has probably been stuck in a time loop at one point or another, and they made it out alive. This is only comforting if you’re a numbers guy, or if you’re the kind of guy who talks to others about how it feels to live the same day over and over and over and over and over and over again.

Shame if you’re not; the most important thing you should know about breaking a time loop is that it helps to tell someone you’re trapped in one in the first place.

    Summary

“The Maedhros who stands before his son is not one thing but many. He is a struck-down statue. He is a fading demon. He is a sword in a nuclear war. He is historical debris. He is the sum of a nation’s ruin. He is the first sunset of the Empire’s apocalypse. He is Elrond’s beloved Baba, who would find him under every starless sky. Archives will dissect him. Historians will redeem him. Writers will swallow him whole.”

In 1937, notorious Indian revolutionary Maedhros Fëanorian and his brother Maglor, take in a British colonial officer's twin sons and raise them to adulthood. Decades later, Elrond Peredhel, trying to leave a family tragedy behind in England, returns to India during a time of political turbulence and finds that everything, from the national landscape to his firebrand father, the ineffable Comrade Maedhros, has changed. Chapter 19: Epilogue, Afterword and 'Alternate' Ending.

    Summary

“She’s jealous you get to do the solo,” Natasha pointed out. “She’s trying to ruin it for you.”

“So?” Lila retorted. “We can still kick her stupid face in. Daddy says if someone starts a fight, I can finish it. And she started it.”

“Brawling ballerinas isn’t in the playbill today,” Natasha warned. She stood, toed off her shoes, and kicked them aside. Clint would kill her…. “But I know how we can shut her up.”

Written for the prompt: Early in their partnership, Clint is stuck on a job in Malaysia, Laura and Cooper are home with the flu, that leaves Natasha alone to go to Lila's dance recital. She just has to show up, right?

    Summary

She’d gone in in 2001 and now it was 2006. It hadn’t even been that long, but cell phones had screens now, alphabet keypads and big screens that slid around. There had been women in Chowchilla who had been there for thirty years and women who had been going to be there for thirty more. Probably by then there would be flying cars or something; everybody would be living underwater, and they would still turn you out onto the street in your old clothes: good luck, don’t let the steel door hit your ass on the way out.
