Summary

Katsuki's pulse roared in his ears and he held on a beat too long, because Katsuki knew, standing here with this child solid and warm against his chest, that those words were not true.
He hadn't saved him. Not really. Not in any way that counted.
This bright, reckless, stubborn kid was going to fall in ways that mattered, and Katsuki was going to be the one who let him. He had stood close enough to catch Izuku his whole life and chosen, again and again, to step back instead.

One-night stands required effort, relationships required time, and Katsuki had neither of those things, which is the real reason why he had agreed to this insane idea.

It was pretty clear why he had not been there.

When a UA student goes missing, GEMGD Agency gets assigned to his rescue, with Katsuki leading the operation and Izuku appointed as faculty expert. Now forced to work together, the feelings Katsuki thought he had buried resurface in the most unhealthy way possible.
"Are you sleeping with him?"
"So I'm sleeping with him, Mina. Why the fuck do you care?"

Summary
This is the way the world works: the sun rises in the east. The strong come out on top. Bakugou Katsuki rockets through life like a comet and Midoriya Izuku stumbles after. If he believed in such things Katsuki would say it was written in the stars. That some god of war had looked at him and said this one. That he’d been passed along a line to get his blessings – genius, willpower, fearless ambition – and dropped off on earth.
Then, of course, there is the question of Deku. The spitfire runt. Deku, no matter what the world does to him, never stops hoping.
Until, of course, he eventually does.
(Katsuki broke him. Snapped him in half like a twig and now has to scramble to put Deku back together. “We can do this, Deku," he says slowly. "There are so many mysteries that never got put to bed. Criminals roaming around looking to hurt people and you and me, we can fix that.”
There’s a long pause. The comforter slips a little off Deku’s skinny shoulders and drowns him. “You mean like a team?”
In that split second, Katsuki makes a decision he’s never even considered. He swallows his pride. “Yeah, Deku. We’d be a team.”)

“Shizun thinks Shen-Shixiong is a lazy brat, and Shixiong doesn’t care what anyone thinks ‘cause he’s always trying to get off the mountain to go hunt monsters like he’s some Bai Zhan Brute.” She had then assured Luo Binghe that he’d love Shen Yuan.
Luo Binghe has a sinking feeling in his chest that perhaps, this is the most accurate thing his Shijie has ever said to him.

Katsuki turned towards him, one arm propped leisurely along the top of the sofa, and Izuku immediately felt the heat of the intensity of his gaze as it settled on him.
“It’s really not that bad of an idea, y’know?”
“...What is?” Izuku asked, feeling dumb and flustered under Katsuki’s ardent stare.
“Sex.”
He must’ve been dreaming. Or hallucinating. Or having some strange, out-of-body experience.
The word fell from Katsuki’s lips nonchalantly, like it was the most normal thing to bring up in casual conversation. Izuku blushed furiously. He felt the burn in his cheeks and ears; his entire face had to be bright red. The word kept repeating in Izuku’s mind, the echo of it bouncing off the walls of his skull in his best friend’s alluring baritone.
Sex, sex, sex….
or workaholic izuku struggles to relax while balancing school life, hero life, and personal life. obviously, his only solution is a friends-with-benefits relationship with his best friend, which definitely won’t affect their secret undercover mission at all.

Well. That's not exactly true.
Izuku cannot stay dead.
Katsuki's taunts push Izuku past a point of no return, only for Izuku to return, again and again and again. At first resistant to become close to Izuku, over time their bond pulls them inexorably closer together until they crash into each other and hurtle through their lives with enough force to change all those that surround them. Caught in the machinations of forces both seen and unseen, they twist and strain and contort themselves in an effort to stay joined, stay together. But the truth of their relationship is obvious by now; near or far, together or apart, they circle each other as two stars locked in each other's gravitational pull. Their lives and their futures plummet toward each other, unrelenting and unstoppable.
But so long as they can trust each other, they just might survive the fall.

Summary
Pro Hero Bakugou Katsuki is on his way... to the bottom. His ratings suck, his reputation sucks, and even his agency has it out for him. Katsuki can see rock-bottom coming, but he can do nothing but brace for the inevitable, painful impact.
Meanwhile, Midoriya Izuku hit rock bottom months ago. He's pulling himself back to his feet, working shitty jobs with shitty pay and just doing his best to eat most days. At least he's not in debt anymore, though. At least he has a roof over his head.
On Katsuki's way down and on Izuku's way up, they catch each other.

Or, after five years apart, Katsuki and Izuku meet again under equally humbling circumstances. Things improve from there.
