Summary
Buck is in the middle of baking another batch of cookies, probably the 3rd batch of snickerdoodles he’s baked in the past 3 days, when his phone rings. He absentmindedly looks over at it and has to do a double take, literally jumping in surprise and dropping the spoon into the batter.
It’s Chris.
Not only is it Chris calling, but he’s facetiming him. Holy shit.
So he picks up his phone, prays this isn’t a buttdial, leans back against the fridge, and tries to act normal and casual. Noticing what he just did makes him cringe and shake his head at himself, a little embarrassed. He plasters a smile on his face anyways and accepts the call. “H-Hey, Chris, what’s up?”
“Why are you letting Dad move to El Paso?” he demands immediately.
or, Buck and Chris have a discussion about Eddie's decision to move back to El Paso.

They stare at each other for a few moments, the tension between them palpable. Eddie glances down Buck’s face, then away, and stands up. “Get up.”
“What?” Buck laughs, a little startled.
“Get up,” Eddie repeats, holding his hands out.
Buck, confused, grasps his hands gently anyways and gets up, neither of them mentioning he didn’t need to take Eddie’s hands to do so. “Okay…”
“We,” Eddie starts, reaching up to pop Buck’s collar, “are going to dance.”
Coda to 8.06, where Buck joins Eddie in some Risky Business dancing.

Eddie lifts his head from his hands, only to glare at Buck skeptically. “Like to the zoo or something? How am I supposed to take him there if he’s in Texas ? I don’t think he would appreciate it if I just showed up to take him to the damn zoo, Buck.”
“No, I’m not talking about taking him to the zoo,” he says. It’s been a year or two since frequent zoo trips, anyways, and he knows Eddie knows that. “I was thinking more like,” he gestures in the direction of the TV, where a couple gaming consoles sit in the TV stand. “Like one of those online games he plays with his friends. He’s really into Fortnite right now.”
or, buck thinks eddie and chris should play fortnite to try to fix their relationship. also, eddie deals some good ol’ catholic guilt and repression

“No, I just–” Dream scrunches up his face, trying to think of a way to say what he’s thinking without word-vomiting all over the place or sounding too poetic or sickeningly in love (which he is, to be clear).
“Just what?” George smirks teasingly, pulling his knees up to his chest to face Dream better on the couch. He's teasing, but still showing he’s got his full, genuine attention now.
“Just…” the blonde sighs, then sees the gold chain peek out from George’s collar. His gold chain. It makes him hold back a smile, rolling his eyes at how cheesy he’s about to sound and clears his throat. “You just… look really, really happy.”
Dream lets George know why he thinks he looks so much happier in Florida.

The younger looked up at him with an unimpressed look. He heaves a deep sigh, making a show of rolling his eyes and dropping his phone onto his chest. “What’s in it for me, huh? I’m just your, what? Creative director? Your fucking babysitter?”
George asks Sapnap to help him edit his meetup vlog, eventually showing him the song he picked out for his video ages ago.

Summary
Ilya Rozanov has been drafted by Boston, the number one pick overall, but his father doesn't want him moving to America and so takes steps to block his visa. He's going to have to go back to Russia and stay there forever and that, thinks Shane Hollander, is wrong.
It's so wrong that Shane can't stop himself from doing something about it. Even though that something is the most reckless, the only reckless thing he's ever done in his life. He marries Rozanov in secret, to keep him out of Russia and put him on a path to Canadian citizenship.
Shane's got a five-year plan to get him there and when you have a plan nothing can go wrong. Right? Right. When you have a solid plan and a marriage that's on paper only there's no risk of feelings getting involved. Not on Rozanov's part and certainly not on Shane's.
Right???
