the waiting room was empty when mack arrived, the uncomfortable chair creaked as he sat down, his legs bouncing a bit with nerves and anticipation. he stared at the white door in front of him, reading the little unsuspicious name tag dr. william charles patrick smith, secondary gender specialists over and over again.
then, after what felt like seconds and an eternity all at once, the door opened, revealing doctor smith, his soft and welcoming smile already in place. “macklin, come in.”

Summary
Mack has always wanted to be like Aiden. When Aiden started collecting hockey cards, Mack was asking for a binder by christmas. When Aiden started skateboarding, Mack decided he wanted to too, albeit ending up with a bruised tailbone. When Aiden committed to BU, Mack knew he wanted to enrol the second he got the chance.
All this to say, Mack knows he should hate Sigma Alpha Epilson, and he should hate Will Smith. Something about Will just keeps drawing him in, though, and Will can’t say he isn’t enthralled by Mack either.
