IMPORTANT: consider this, if your OTP was the couple in the cute ass after surgery video, who would be the one high on meds that doesn’t recognize the other but still thinks they’re the most gorgeous thing they’ve ever seen.

Summary
A hand on his shoulder. A pat on the back. A friendly slap on his chest. Rick touched him like it was nothing, just reached right out and did it. Daryl noticed every single time, forcing himself to breathe through the urge to touch right back, to touch back and not let go. And God, Daryl has never wanted someone so badly.

Summary
Carl wasn’t the last person to get sick. As a few days passed, more and more people seemed to have contracted the cold, the virus sweeping its way swiftly through their small community. Michonne had a headache, Eugene and Carol had the sniffles, Tara, Gabriel, and Maggie all sporting fevers.
Daryl was not expecting himself to be among them.

Summary
Daryl comes back from a hunt with a sour attitude and a face like a slapped ass. Rick has tried to keep from worrying all day, but can't help himself from seeking their resident hunter out in the evening to check on him.
Turns out, the issue is more sensitive than Rick expects, and before he knows it, he is showing how much Daryl means to him in the only way he can think of.
//or, set in the season 3-4 timeskip: Daryl is upset after having a bad morning and burning himself, and Rick is a lovesick loser who ends up showing his concern and care through more than just kind words.

Summary
In through the nose, out through the mouth. His eyes burn with the emotion that suddenly fills him, the fear, sadness, the dread of it all.
There are too many people here, their faces beginning to blur. Their faces. Saviors–
— Rick has the brilliant idea to host a multi-community gathering. When a certain song, Easy Street, is played in the middle of it, Daryl finds himself right back in that damned dark, cement room.
