She gets out because, well, obviously she does. The world needs her to save it. Again.
Her guards sound annoyed when they break the news to her, like they don’t want to see her go. The first thing she feels is relief so immense it removes something heavy from her shoulders that had been there for so long she’s forgotten its existence. The second thing she feels is the weight coming back with a familiar clock in its tow. They say You’ve been pardoned and she gets flashbacks of the last project and has to force down the fear bubbling up inside her, has to press it down with both hands.
