Summary
A knot formed in his stomach. No matter how much time passed, he just couldn’t move on like nothing had happened. Being in London this year just made it worse. The psychological aspects surrounding the date would always cling and torment him like a shadow threatening to consume him whole.
Every time he closed his eyes, all he could do was remember: remember the feeling of the waves crashing over him, remember the feeling of that blazing fire… remember the feeling of Sherlock risking his life just to save his pitiful existence, as if to him he were the most precious being in the whole universe. It still seemed inconceivable, even now, that he was still here, proceeding in perfecting his blank canvas, his second chance.
Set in the first year Sherlock and William are back in London after New York.
