She's fully aware what it sounds like – speaking about her love life in such a manner to someone she's only known for a short amount of time. But something in Amber's heart relents anyway, Alysa feels like someone she could unload just about anything onto, none of those judgmental looks and ted talks advising her on her own relationship she knows would befall her. Amber glances up briefly, Alysa's eyes boring into her but not in the scrutinizing way she'd expected, instead they hold her gaze attentively, her own unspoken way of telling Amber that she's here and that she'll listen, and perhaps that alone is enough.
