Summary
He loved watching innocence acquire edges. Loved the precise moment when naivety learned restraint, when optimism learned consequence. Cain, he suspected, would make an especially interesting study. There was already something crooked beneath the shine, that much Shylock was certain of, especially after witnessing the lengths Cain was willing to go for his prince. There was something irresistibly compelling in watching a guard dog risk his life without hesitation when commanded by someone he trusted, someone he deemed worthy of authority, worthy of service. Shylock found himself wondering how long it would take before Cain realised just how much he liked being given orders.

corrode 1: to eat away by degrees as if by gnawing
The Lake of Death looks back at him, as stationary and empty as always. Owen used to be like that too - a presence whose consistency brought Mithra a feeling that he has recently learnt could be called comfort. As seasons changed, during winter the Lake would freeze over, its comforting waves encased in a crust mimicking their shape. Come springtime, that crust would, without fail, melt, and leave no sign behind. Owen too had this stubborn resilience that Mithra never cared to understand, but that he was (unbeknownst to himself) grateful for. No matter how many times Owen’s neck was snapped like a branch, or his torso was gruesomely torn, or his limbs split apart, Owen would snap back to life like nothing happened, with the same carefree smile on his face.

“A kiss shouldn’t always feel like a fight. It can also feel sweet.”
Sweet. Owen does chew on that word in his mind for a while. He does like sweets, it is probably the only type of food he actively goes out to seek. It is very satisfying to indulge in messy confectioneries, the sensation of sugar at the back of his throat and the leftover stickiness on his fingers only make him want to eat more and more. However, sometimes, eating too much of a sugary dessert can make him horribly nauseous. He felt the same type of stomach twisting nausea when Cain’s warm hands would lay for too long on his waist, or when he would kiss him slowly, cradling his face. So in some way, the kisses Cain was giving him were in fact sweet.

They started walking towards Calin's apartment. The night was cold and the politician wasn't properly dressed for this kind of weather. His thin sweater wasn't enough to keep his body warm, and even if he tried to hide it, occasional shivers were still noticeable. Putin took off his suit jacket and carefully placed it on Calin's shoulders. Calin thanked him, ashamed that he, someone with a strong immune system gifted to him by God, that swum in a frozen lake before, couldn't resist the cold outside now. His cheeks and nose were red because of the low temperature. Putin found that adorable.....
hey at the very least if romania ends up being ruled by a pro-russia fascist, he might as well get to work and spread his cheeks for putin. right?

Summary
Small drops of water are slowly dripping from Murr’s purple hair onto Shylock’s floor as he lets the other man in, and some rebel snowflakes that refuse to melt are still gingerly hanging onto strands of his hair. Normally, he would scold Murr for going outside during a raging snowstorm, but a part of him enjoys seeing him in such a vulnerable state - his rose-tinted cheeks and obliviousness to his own condition make something inside of Shylock want to take care of him and mock him in equal measure.

"Goodness, it's no wonder the youngins were all talk the other day. You have given them a very, very misleading impression of your relationship with the Sage," Snow sighed and held his own head.
"Okay? It doesn't matter, does it?" Mithra looked out of the floor-to-ceiling windows next to where they were seated, his fingers playing with strands of his own hair. "It's none of my business. I don't get what the big deal is."
"I mean, even if he's having that kinda relationship with the Sage, you can't really police his decisions. Dude's over 1500 years old, he ain't 15," Bradley said.
"But the problem is, Mithra isn't courting the Sage and the youngins have misunderstood the situation," White countered. "As we said, we do not need rumours circulating within the Manor for the sake of peace and harmony."
Mithra and Akira are oblivious to how their relationship has been perceived by the other wizards.
