Summary
After greeting the other players, who were coming in one by one, they both made to the ice first. That would have been the case if the ice skaters were not circling around the rink.
“What the…?” Hayden exclaimed.
“Come, come boys,” said the coach, “we are learning to figure skate today.”
“What?!” came the collective from the team that had followed.
“No more words, we need faster, tighter turns. We need to enhance our flow of movement and agility. The Ice Academy of Montreal has agreed to give up their valuable time to help us, since they already move on the ice like that,” and the coach pointed to one of the ice skaters, who had landed a complicated rotating jump.
“Chop, chop, boys.”
They groaned but moved towards the ice.

In an attempt to make the team better the coach gets the help of figure skaters. Shane befriends Maya Morozova, Canadian-Russian figure skater.

“Hello,” she answered the phone.
“Hello, I am looking for Miss Rozanova,” a man’s voice replied.
“This is she.”
“Aa, Miss Rozanova, I am very sorry for your loss. My name is Mr. Aliev. I am contacting you regarding the payments of your high school. We require proof of the new school year to proceed with payments.”
“I’m sorry, I don’t understand what you mean,” she replied, confused.
“I am sorry, Miss. Are you aware of your personal school funds? I have been communicating with your mother, god rest her soul, up to this point. I assumed you knew. Your uncle Ilya Rozanov has created a trust fund to ensure your schooling and your wellbeing, provided any expense is justified, under the aforementioned conditions,” the voice stopped, expecting an answer back.
She knew she had an uncle; he had moved to Canada to play hockey. No one in her family talked about him.

Ilya is not going to steal Shane Hollander's dog. That would be illegal. And wrong. And someone would probably find out and make Ilya give him back.
So. Not stealing.
But there is nothing wrong with giving Chernysh all the pats and treats that he deserves, is there?
Nothing wrong with encouraging Chernysh to spend more and more time at Ilya's house until he doesn't even remember who Hollander is.
Because Hollander is stupid and boring and does not deserve a dog as good as Chernysh. No, he doesn't, does he? Because Chernysh is the best boy in the whole world, yes he is.

Shane Hollander was supposed to go pro.
Instead, he got an injury that ended his career before it even started and a life that’s been quietly built around not thinking too hard about it.
Ilya Rozanov did go pro.
Which makes it particularly unfortunate that they’ve just woken up in each other’s bodies hours before a game.
Even worse, Shane is now expected to play in front of thousands of people using a body he's only ever seen on phone screens or TVs, all while trying to stave off an impending mental breakdown and come to terms with a version of Ilya Rozanov that's much different than his public persona.
