Summary
“They’re going to butcher me,” she murmurs. Her thumb traces a circle over the knuckle of your pointer finger, again. She slides a nail under the edges of a misshapen scab, toying with its lacy frill of dead skin.
“He’ll eat anything.”
“Oh?” She looks up at you, amused. “And you’ll let him?” Her nail works its way deeper in, and with a pinch, the scab falls away to a dot of bright blood. “You’re not interested in a taste?”

"I hope not.”
The seated man peels off a long strip of abraded skin. Quietly, he repeats himself. "Not 'boy.' My name is Six."

Summary
"The kindest of my siblings, but he was so eager to please Father. He was easily manipulated, dragged into Father and Luther’s little games—and those two simply let him die."
All in all, a succinct two-sentence summation of his sixteen years. A version of the truth in her words, except—except that "those two simply let him”—Ben Hargreeves—"die."
Instinctively, something about that feels wrong.
