The night had been fun; if fun meant somehow gathering the balls to ask your coworker to dinner. And then after that, finally shoving down your own fears enough to just grab his stupidly handsome face and kiss him right there, on the stoop of your own home.
Of which turned into an impromptu tiny makeout session that honestly involved more laughing than kissing.
Then yes, tonight was, and still currently is, fun.

Akram huffs a laugh as he tilts his head to the side. “Your penchant for sarcasm is truly admirable.”
Carl grins at him. “I do try.”
“Seems it comes easily.”
“Sometimes.” Carl winks playfully, unable to help himself. “Always pays to have a captive audience.”
Akram’s smile seems to catch him unawares and he shakes his head. His ankle presses back against Carl’s, a very deliberate touch, and Carl tries not to choke on his chip as he pops it in his mouth.
Or, a thunderstorm keeps Carl and Akram from returning home... and there's only one bed.
