Summary
Edward was starting to give up on the idea of love. Well, maybe not the idea itself, since he was surrounded by it all the time, but maybe more the idea that it would ever happen to him. He was still working through some complicated vampire feelings, his family was trying to get things back in order after a vampire mishap, not to mention they had to start all over in a new town again. So, when Esme rounds up the family to try and renovate a new house over the summer, what could he do other than go along with it? It was better than rotting away in his sea of lonely thoughts.
But, when his seemingly boring summer gets turned on his head, and he has the closest thing he can have to a human heart attack while meeting this strange new woman, he starts to realize maybe the world isn't as black and white as he thought.
Or; who better for a vampire to fall in love with than an undying ghost?

“Oh.” He winced, unfolding his arms to relax his posture. Of course, it had to be this, he thought to himself. “You’ve got yourself in quite the pickle here.”
“Tell me about it,” Remus whispered, huffing once before collapsing against the wall. He ran a hand through his hair, pushing it every which way. Merlin, this is probably when having a nicotine addiction would help, he thought miserably, just to take the edge off. “But, it’s not what you think.”
“It’s not?” Remus sighed again. “How could it not?”
“You know how James is, ever the unobservant one when a prank is getting set up. It was an accident, but he managed to stop it just in time and save the day.” Sirius had never heard the bitter tone come from his friend the way it had as he spoke the last few words. He could tell this full moon would be a ringer already. “Besides, who would ever want to date a monster like-”Or; It’s already hard being a teenager, but add falling in love as a werewolf? Disaster.
