How much he genuinely misses the home he’d built there, despite being happy to be home.
Seungcheol finds out a lot of things about Jeonghan, but he doesn’t find out about his ex-husband, or the mess of the last couple of months of his life. Schrödinger’s box of issues that Jeonghan will continue to ignore for as long as he possibly can.

They were sitting on the rooftop of Vernon’s apartment when Seungkwan asked what wine would he pair him with if he was a dish on the menu of Haneul & Bada. Their legs were stretched out, shoulders touching. And between them, a bottle of Dark Horse Merlot sat.
“Something bright, but layered,” Vernon started, tearing his gaze away from Seungkwan because lately, he had been having urges of leaning closer whenever they talked and it was messing with his heart big time. “A Chenin Blanc, maybe. Complex, but easy to like, to want, and hard to forget.”
Seungkwan was quiet for a second too long, and Vernon wondered if he had said too much.
Then, without any warning, Seungkwan’s head was on his shoulder. “That’s the nicest thing anyone has ever said about me.”
In which Seungkwan was a bright light, always giving, never asking. Vernon watched- curious, then fell in love quietly, shyly. Years later, fate offered a second chance- not for Vernon to watch, but to get close.
