Summary
At nineteen Seulgi stands in front of the bathroom mirror, the thick cotton of her sweater held up by the jut of her chin. Her finger runs across the dark scar across her abdomen—and she thinks of Jaeyi’s slender fingers wrapped around the scalpel, carving into her skin. Gloved hands digging through her guts, coated in her blood, then stitching in her back together.
Her thumb nail catches on a bump of skin and flesh and mess, it harrows her how little she feels it. A part of her wants to claw it open; would she find the killer question still snug inside her stomach?
She closes her eyes and imagines Jaeyi weighed down by stones in her shoes—lifeless and bubbling and rotting in the lake, where no one will go looking, because no one but Seulgi cares. And Seulgi knows if she followed Jaeyi down to the bottom of that lake, unlike Jaena, she wouldn’t find her way back out. They would rot down there together—because no one would come looking.

Summary
At least the little imprint is sign it will happen. She doesn’t have to wonder, doesn’t have to speculate. There’s no date, no time, no location. Just a couple words, without context. Sophia can’t really make sense of them in her head. What moment might lead to them, when they might finally meet, why they would be seeing one another face to face when they live approximately six thousand five hundred miles apart. Seven hours apart. A world a part, and yet bonded despite it.
Life can be so cruel.
Sophia is doing her best to find the pretty in the simple. It makes that fact easier to swallow.

In some sense, it feels like Dani is defending her honour. Her gay, very gay, pathetic and bisexual—and did Megan mentioned gay?—honour. Like a true knight in shining armour. Maybe they weren’t so off with those dream charms after all.
Though, Megan thinks, maybe, Dani’s belief in her ability to keep ahold of herself is too forgiving and unwavering. Megan was so gay in that live—and all she can think about since that night is Manon, Manon, Manon. She hasn’t had that much fun in a while, and despite that live being everywhere—shared with the whole world, despite it’s deletion, lost media, right?—those inside jokes feel special regardless.
Or: 5 times M&M totally played gay chicken, and the 1 time they stopped fucking around.
(Except, does it even count as gay chicken at a certain point?)
