Summary
Before she can overthink, she takes Coco’s hands in hers. The calluses of her fingers sit perfectly on Agott’s palm, the skin of her hands soft as Agott rubs her thumb over them.
“Do you want to go there, with me?”
Coco’s gaze shoots back to her immediately, lips falling open slightly in surprise. When she sees that Agott’s completely serious in the set of her mouth, the gentleness of her eyes, she leans forward, her knees touching Agott’s.
“You would do that?” Coco asks, so softly it might be a whisper.

"Speaking of ateliers," Tetia said, "it's been ten years since we graduated."
"Nine," Agott corrected. "Next summer, it will be ten."
Tetia smiled. "But I might be away then! What do you say to an early reunion? Come on, Agott, it would be fun! When was the last time you saw Master Qifrey and Master Olruggio? We can ask Richeh to come, too!"
Thirteen years after Coco passed the third test and moved back to stay with her mother, Agott returns to the atelier.

Summary
Coco, at twenty-three, knew more about forbidden magic than most. Though, all things considered, she had also known more about forbidden magic than most at twenty, at fifteen, and at ten.
Agott, at twenty-four, had broken more rules of being a librarian than anyone she had ever heard of. Although, much like Coco, she had achieved that feat far younger than she was now.

Summary
Conset can't believe her eyes. Out before her, standing idly in the cold, is a child. Young, somewhere in an elementary range, barefoot. In the frigid months like this, Thristas is always covered in a thick, powdery blanket of snow, and yet this girl is bare apart from a beige dress that hangs loosely around her form, clearly too big and carelessly given. Words aren't exchanged between them before her wife is striding up to the small child, though with enough hesitation to give this kid the chance to run if she wants. Despite the opportunity, she just clutches at her own chest with rosy-cold hands, a static look on her face.
“Hello, little one.” Akasha soothes, crouching down a couple paces from the girl. She holds out her hands as a gesture of kindness—what she doesn't expect is for the girl to walk through the space given for safety, offering her hands to the witch. “My name is Akasha.” She continues, “What's yours?”
Instead of coming out with a sure answer, the pair watch as her lips twitch, as if she's figuring out how to vocalise at all.
“I d’nno.”
