Summary
The last thing Peter sees is Tony's horrified, heartbroken expression leaning over him. The guilt in his eyes is almost worse than the burning pain that's taking Peter apart piece by piece. The world starts to go dark.
There's a flash of gold and green. For one moment, he finds himself standing amongst the Guardians and others. And then darkness again. It feels like blinking; an extended period of nothingness that ends as abruptly as it begins. One moment there’s nothing, the next there’s light.
“Easy,” a woman says. Her words are gentle, and carry a slight accent that he can’t place. "I'm called Wonder Woman. What's your name?"

Ursa fears for her children's lives.
The only way she can think to protect them is to take them to the only place the Fire Nation hasn't touched: the North Water Tribe.
Luckily for everyone, the water people are warmer than their cold arctic environment would suggest, and their princess happens to be of the same age as the royal Fire Nation siblings.Zuko and Azula spend their childhood in the North Water Tribe, and are considerably better off for it.

Zuko opens his mouth to speak. To yell, to put a name to what they’re doing; murder. Abandonment. Slaughter of fresh cattle. He cannot simply sit and listen to this wake of beasts plan to take away these loyal fathers, sons, brothers. The warm air on his dry tongue is bitter, and the cacophony of noise in his mind makes it hard to find the words, but he stands anyways.
And then he bows.
Zuko is thirteen, and he does not speak out.

Or: An alternate universe where Zuko manages to hold his tongue in that war meeting. He does not fight his father in an Agni Kai, does not get banished with only half a face and a ghost story to track down.
