Summary

With a gut instinct guiding him, Keith heads into the desert to his forgotten shack—an old hideout where Lance once joked he could escape everything. Together they brave the realities of their new lives and help each other realize they are not their traumas.
Aka a little fix it fic with all the gays and plenty of hurt and comfort because this shit got heavy for a kids show.

Tim was at his limit. How much longer would his father force him to keep up this farce? Not only had the man decided Tim needed a companion all on his own, but he even went as far as to steal someone's heart to arrange this charade. Kon wasn't here because he chose to be. He was a literal hostage.
Kon was like a caged bird. Beautiful and majestic, meant only to be admired and put on a pedestal. Forced into an arranged marriage with the King of the Underworld after his heart was stolen, the little bird could only sit in his cage and rot away. Maybe he'll die before he is ever free, or perhaps the prison holds another prisoner. One clad in black and pale as snow. Maybe they can make the most of being trapped together.
