Summary
Soap and Ghost were left unsupervised with subpar applicants looking to join Task Force 141. Now they've got their No. 2s on at the largest defense conference in the world as punishment for ruining Captain Price's day. It's not Soap's fault Ghost looks damn good in khaki, or that the hotel room Laswell booked only has one bed.

Summary
"You don't know where your sergeant is, Lieutenant?"
He could find out. Leave right now and track him. Not like they don’t have all the latest technology to do so just steps away. One trip to the armoury and he’d be set. Find Soap in an hour.
A small voice tickles the back of his mind. Maybe you shouldn’t be so obsessed with this.
—
Soap keeps disappearing. Ghost gets curious.

Summary
So, Soap’s a big guy. Obviously.
He’s not overly tall, but he’s wide in the shoulders and thick in the thighs. He’s the kind of big that’s naturally built all over: training muscles on top of mission muscles on top of an innate bulk.
He’s the kind of big that makes him immovable to most guys.
The kind of big that’s always been -ger than most everyone else—if not by height, than at least by heft.
So when they’re on mission and Ghost spots a grenade before Soap does, and, with no time to warn him, grabs him by the waist and flings him back behind cover, gear and all, Soap’s really not expecting to think much about it, aside from maybe, ‘Oh, shit.’
What he thinks instead is: ‘Oh-hmm.’
And then, in rapid succession: ‘Big.’
------ ------ ------ ------ ------ ------
Or, Soap realizes that Ghost is bigger than him. His dick realizes that’s hot.

Summary
The officiator tapped his podium to regain control and motioned toward Ghost.
“A very noble display. Now, who do you champion for this year, Sir Ghost?”
They were expecting the same answer as every year. For Ghost to hold his gauntlet to his own breastplate without a word and nod.
But not this year.
Thunderous through his helm, taking everyone by surprise, Ghost rounded Banshee and pointed across the arena, directly at John, and proclaimed, “I champion for John of the MacTavish clan!”
---
There’s a yearly tournament held every spring to showcase the strongest and most skilled knights and warriors in the lands. Filled with feats of strength, talent and cunning, all sorts are drawn to the festivities.
Among them is the renowned Ghost, a knight-errant who’s consistently won the jousting tournament for the past several years.
Always a loner, he’s fought for himself, and himself alone, but something changes this year, in the form of an intriguing meeting with a bold, Scottish warrior.

Summary
He had always thought that Wesker was sparing with praise. He hadn’t noticed the superlatives until they dried up: Chris, you’re the best shot we have, you’re the best one for this job, you’re one of my best men.
And Chris wouldn’t be worried about it—isn’t worried about it—except that performance reviews are coming up, and he’s no longer actually sure what Wesker’s comments will look like.
One day Captain Wesker comes into the office and won't look Chris in the eye.
