Zoey doesn't feel any better.
She feels floaty and gross and she's still somehow freezing. Forced to wear a stupid soft cast that covers from her mid-thigh to her ankle. The light in the middle of the ceiling is off, letting her watch the way the sun begins to rise above the city.
The pillows beneath her leg are annoying and lumpy and she's irritable and lonely because Rumi and Mira have decided to enact penance on themselves by avoiding her.
