Summary
Prompto grew up listening to voices in a language he shouldn't have understood, falling asleep to stories about the King of Light and his Oracle, and their destiny to save the world from the darkness.
But with time, he learns. He learns that they are not stories, but prophecies. That the voices in his head are the voices of the gods, delivering their messages uncaring of whether Prompto wants to hear them or not.
He learns that there isn't a place for him in this world, because this world already has its True Oracle.

listen. i stopped watching miraculous years ago. i've never been that much into dc with the exception of the cw arrowverse back in like, 2016/17. but this fic?? it's a fucking MASTERPIECE. one of the best works i've ever read. i haven't been this invested in a fic for quite some time. i love it and i'm praying it'll be finished one day because i NEED to know how this story ends.
EDIT: me reading this fic led me to getting into batman and obsessively reading/watching tons of batman stuff and then to choosing a batman-related topic for my ma thesis… i will never admit out loud that reading a maribat fic helped me with getting a degree but everyone reading this bookmark note will know so. i’ll give you an update in like 2 years when i finish my paper.

There is an unspoken rule, kept by any outsider who's ever set foot in Gotham, that you should only ever visit the city once. (For some, even once is far too much.)
The most dangerous city on earth isn't kind to its residents—much less strangers who don't know how to watch their pockets or keep off the streets after dark. It's gotten better, perhaps, in recent years since the Bat started lurking on rooftops, but that doesn't mean the city is good.
Normal people stay as far from Gotham as they can get.
Marinette, (un)luckily, is far from normal.

The story of Marinette stumbling upon the illustrious Wayne family over and over again, as well as the more infamous Bats, over the course of her many visits to Gotham. She, of course, charms the whole lot of them and finds that the same is true in the reverse.

this is the peak of ff7 time travel fix-it fics. it doesn't get any better in this trope than this fic, believe me. it's fucking hilarious and i love it. cloud, aerith and vincent are my favorite ff7 characters so any fics focused specifically on those three are like paradise to me. when two of them are time traveling, kinda definitely not 100% sane terrorists dragging this vampire wannabe along for the ride? like i said - it doesn't get better that this.
